1. Introduction 2. History of geographical education 3. The Charter of Geographical Education, US Standards of Geographical Education 4. Geographical Standards of primary and secondary Czech schools 5. Bruner model, Bloom taxonomy in geographical education 6. Internet in geographical education 7. Czech a foreign geographical textbooks 8. Planning and strategies in geographical education

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 48 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject is entrance subject of geographical classroom teaching and learning. Students learn about history and present geographical teaching and learning in the Czech Republic, in EU and other countries. The basic skills are focused on management in classroom. they prepare geographical themes.
Teaching and learning of geography at Czech primary/basic schools.
Prerequisites
Basic geographical knowledge of Czech comprehensive schools and basic knowledge of physiography and human geography

Written exam

Individual teaching and learning, preparation of geography units, oral examination
