Course content
1. What we're talking about when we speak about quality of life? 2. Quality of life as a concept, its origin and development. 3. Axiology of the quality of life. 4. Dimensions, domains and indicators 5. The calculation of the quality of life Index 6. Interpretation of the spatial differentiation of quality of life 7. Quality of life in the Czech Republic 8. International quality of life assessment.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The teaching is observed several goals. The first is to introduce students to the complexity of multidimensional and multidisciplinary concept of quality of life, to explain his axiological anchorage clarifies the internal structure of dimensions, domains and indicators. The second goal is to teach students a calculation of the quality of life in selected hierarchical level with the help of theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures analytically evaluate the identified facts. The third goal is to teach students to present their essay and defend the results.
Understanding the multidimensionality of the concept. Ability to work independently, based on the knowledge gained in lectures and self-study literature. Ability axiological formulation anchoring the concept of quality of life, the key to the interpretation of the results and the identification of indicators according to the hierarchical level of research. Ability to calculate the Quality of life Index and interpretation of results.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Systematické pozorování studenta, Oral presentation of self-study

Ongoing systematic work on the semestrial work to research the quality of life on the selected hierarchical level based on self-taught topics and recommended literature. Student's ability to interpret the results. Successful defense of semester work demonstrating the ability to apply theoretical knowledge and individual creative approach.
